As one of New Zealand’s largest tyre importers, Tyremax required a purpose-built distribution facility that could support the scale, efficiency, and durability demands of a high-volume logistics operation. The brief called for a large-format warehouse and office space that could handle constant heavy vehicle movement, high storage loads, and streamlined distribution across the lower North Island.
Working alongside Euroclass, Homestead delivered the precast solution for the 8,000m² warehouse and office facility, helping solve key challenges around programme certainty, structural performance, and buildability at scale. With 139 precast panels totalling approximately 1,400 tonnes, including panels up to 13 metres in length, the project required careful coordination, manufacturing precision, and efficient installation sequencing.
Homestead’s in-house precast capability allowed for greater control across design, production, and delivery, reducing reliance on multiple suppliers and minimising delays across the build programme.
The result is a robust, high-performance distribution centre designed to meet the operational demands of a global supplier, delivered with the speed, consistency, and structural integrity required for long-term performance.
