NZCIS Athletes Village & Amenities

As part of the redevelopment of the NZ Campus of Innovation and Sport, the Athletes Village needed to deliver high-quality, flexible accommodation to support elite athletes, balancing comfort, performance, and accessibility within a cohesive campus environment.

Engaged for the design and build, Homestead delivered 50 short-stay apartments across seven blocks, alongside a central amenities building designed to bring athletes together. The self-contained units provide everything needed for short and extended stays, with a number tailored for accessibility and specialised hypoxic training.

The shared amenities hub including a commercial kitchen, dining, meeting spaces, and outdoor court creates a strong sense of community while supporting day-to-day functionality.

The result is a purpose-built village that supports both high-performance training and athlete wellbeing, designed for flexibility, durability, and long-term use.
